Gosh, thanks. Allan, you're right, it's a very special day, it's the first dress rehearsal for Peter Pan, and I, the head costumer, do not have all the costumes done.
So here I sit, 7 a.m., covered with little bits of Nana fluff that I didn't vaccuum up last night like I shoulda, and trying to remember where the HEY I put the croc head (I hope it's in row 4), and trying to nerve myself up to be nice to my SO 'cause I yelled at him.
Oh, yeah, ain't life exciting? Where did I put the Neverbird feathers?

Happy Birthday Barbara and many BBs etc and break a leg in the show I used to do stage management and lighting for productions at schools and improvisation was the name of the game especily whenyour ASM walks backwards off the edge of the stage and falls 4 feet during a scene change with a quiet musical passage being played. BTW I am keen to start"adopt a Possum" here in the UK.Hint, Hint.any reasonable cost met, I don't play but Cleigh looks so cute!!!!!Anyway have agreat one and I will raise a glass and bid you Slainte Va!!

Arigato gozaimasu, Seed-san, and thank you all. Just got home from rehearsal, and it's still running slow, but it's getting there. Hook's got a problem with not having two hands to pull up his too-loose pants, so the swordfight with Peter was a little more entertaining than they meant it to be, I'll have to find him some suspenders ('braces' for you UK types). Hook has a real live honest to god Blue Macaw to sit on his hook, amazing.
I gave the Neverbird a little speech about not sitting down on her peacock tailfeathers, and instructed the lost boys in the fine art of hanging up costumes (a lost cause if ever I heard one, but when the stage manager confiscates them next week the learning curve will improve).
It's going to be fun, and boy, am I glad today is over. Maybe this weekend I'll get a chance to celebrate my b'day.
