Subject: RE: Sam Larner material From: GUEST,Fred McCormick Date: 17 Feb 14 - 11:23 AM Many thanks for pointing that one out Neal. Back in the sixties I used to desperately trawl the airwaves searching for programmes of traditional singers. I well remember I'll Sing You One-o, which Peter Kennedy used to present, Folk Music of the Celtic World, from Bert Lloyd, Apple Tree, Apple Branch (sorry, can't remember the title in Gaelic) which used to showcase Gaelic singers from the Hebrides, and Folk Music of Donegal. The latter was a one-off narrated by Peter Kennedy. The Sam Larner one though escaped me entirely. Presumably it went out on the Midlands Region only. |
