As a result of posting Susan's question about the Berwind guitar to rec.music.makers.guitar.acoustic I learned that Michael Holms, the founder of the old "Mugwumps" magazine has started a new "Mugwumps" magazine (devoted to vintage instruments, folk music, etc, as before) online. You can find it at:

There is some really interesting stuff there (like C.F. Marting Dating)

Aren't Mugwumps related to possums? I read once that they like to lie on top of fences with their mugs on one side and their wumps on the other...:o) [sorry, chronic thread creep disorder].
PS (BS)Is a Marting guitar one played in Birmingham? [We Brummies have a reputation for sounding the final "g" strongly when other accents drop it!]
