The first Sovereign Seas International Maritime Festival will take place in the Underground Theatre, Eastbourne on the weekend of 4 - 7 April.   There will be an evening concert but most events, including the Saturday morning concert, are free. Come and listen or join in the sing arounds, learn to play the bones, watch that old favourite Moby Dick. www.sovereignseas.com

Eastbourne is a great venue. A visit to Beachy Head, a walk along the prom etc.
We are staying at the Congress hotel this weekend. The building is based on the old square idea with a large private ( ish ) garden common to all the buildings in the square. Just perfect if you have a dog.

Eastbourne ? East Sussex ? As an "Old Midhurstian" who grew up in the Cowdray Estate village of EASEBOURNE , I have to say that we doubted the very existence of both East Sussex AND Eastbourne !! The postman was often confused, too.

Looks like a very good programme. I wish all those organising things the very best of luck and hope that all those attending will have an excellent and enjoyable week-end.
