Subject: Deb Cowan in UK 2014
From: DebC
Date: 26 Feb 14 - 01:51 PM

Hi all-

I am getting ready for my UK tour, and I thought I'd come here and see if I could get some help. Expenses to tour overseas have gone up tremendously and right now I am "borrowing from Peter to pay Paul" to make a go of it. I am asking three things:

1) You can help me out by purchasing music from MY WEBSITE . All CDs are now priced at $7 off the regular price until March 17, 2014. All you need to do is enter the coupon code WEAR_THE_GREEN. Paying by Paypal is great because I need to pay some of my expenses this way.

You can also do digital downloads from my page at BANDCAMP.COM . At this site, you can download individual songs and you can also name your own price.

2) Please look at the UK SCHEDULE and if there is someone you know who might be able to fill one of the empty dates with a small concert or house concert, I'd be very grateful. I love singing for people and even if it's 5 people it would be a very fun time. Please send me a PM here on Mudcat or CONTACT ME by clicking the link.

3) Please come out to the folk clubs. Many of the booked guests get paid depending on the number of people that turn up and they have expenses to meet as well.

Like others, I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love, but sometimes a small push is needed and this is one of those times.

I thank you for your support, 'Catters. You all are wonderful folks

Deb Cowan

There is a very nice private do south of London at Easter - no money but many nice people.

I MIGHT be able to get you into a "money in the pot" gig in north Kent on the 2nd Tuesday in April. Same pub has sinagrounds 1st and 3rd Tuesdays.

PM me if of interest.

Deb is in Southport at the Bothy, paying what must be her 3rd or even 4th visit (I SHOULD know these things!) on Sunday 23rd March. She's doing a pre-Club workshop for us too, so come one, come all.

Deb graced us with her presence one Easter a few years ago Richard, and thanks for the very nice words *grin*

Hopefully we'll get to see Deb while she's over. Alas, the first weekend of April we are away at Banbury Song & Ale, otherwise that looked good for a visit.

Looking forward to seeing everyone over there.

GI is in my diary and Simon is raving in advance about the evening. Alan who is part of Alan and Linda who are also on is a squeezer too and has some interesting key combinations on his melodeons.

"darling"??? darlin! The 'g' makes it sound familiar or forward at best and, to my mind, bordering on offensive. Sorry about that typo.

I see from Deb's original post that tomorrow, March 17, is the last date to purchase Deb's CDs at a substantial discount. Who wouldn't want her CDs? Go ahead, buy one. Buy them all!

A great evening from Deb at Horsham on Sunday 6th April, and a hugely appreciative audience.

Deb - I'm sorry we couldn't do "Stars Fell On Alabama" at the Brighton Acoustic Session on the Monday - I'd had the Day From Hell, for several reasons, and just couldn't get there!

Anyway, here's a little something for you - and I hope we can do it the next time you're over here.

Stars Fell On Alabama

Cheers,

Will

Wow! Thanks all! I am afraid I have run out of CDs, but if folks sign up on my email list at Brewtown or at Midway, I'll send you a link to download a full album for FREE. Even if you are not at the gigs, please sign up on the email list through the website and I'll send you a code to get a free full-album download.

Brilliant set at The Good Intent. A great evening of folk, even though I had near fatal man flue. Deb, you are welcome back at any time. Thanks for your music
