So Love/Hate is an Irish television show. In Series 3, Episode 1 the song Rocky Road to Dublin is played at the beginning. This version is acapella. The only sound of it I can find is here and that doesn't list the artist. It sounds very old, and there have been many covers over the year, so it's hard to find. Does anyone know who the artist is? It'll mean so much. Thanks.

Luke Kelly is mentioned in the youtube notes.

It's not unlike some of the pre-Dubliner recordings of Luke Kelly - his voice was cleaner and much less hoarse before he over-strained it.
He recorded a version of 'Rocky Road' in 1964 for a BBC radio programme on the current folk-scene in England, that was fairly similar to that one - might even be the same one.

My first instinct too Dave - still not convinced that it isn't
I think I have the old recordings of Luke singing it - will try to look them out later

Hi, OP here. I emailed the person in charge of the music for the show and he actually replied, but instead of the artist name he gave me a link to a higher quality mp3 version of the video I linked earlier. Here you go if you're interested: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/yl4ob2vny94i191/ettfgo-ui0

Definitely not Luke either. Thanks,

Lecho
