Subject: RE: Great British Folk Festival 2014 From: GUEST,Ian Date: 08 Mar 14 - 06:02 AM OK, the sound needs to be sorted but I'm looking forward to it. Good food, good entertainment. Those who prefer to play rather than listen can choose to go elsewhere. Most folk music enthusiasts are not necessarily performers. Now you can start arguing about whether it's folk music or not! |
Subject: RE: Great British Folk Festival 2014 From: GUEST Date: 08 Mar 14 - 06:53 AM Thinking back to the 1970s, was Folk only a small part of the Great British Glam Rock tradition ??? Least that's how I remember it on Top of the Pops. It's a crime that Marc Bolan still hasn't been honoured on the Radio 2 Folk Awards !!! Oh yeah and these Butlin's weekenders for enthusiastic music fans are great !!! - even better if the old evangelical die hards stay at home; and they still don't allow spoilt unruly children. [who said what's the difference ????] |
