There's an exciting concert coming up in the San Francisco Bay area. Some of the most wonderful performers and generous community members are giving their time to make this a fabulous show including:

Tony Marcus
Shay Black
Amelia Hogan
Debby McClatchy
Sylvia Herold
Bob Reid
Ray Frank
Honeybelles

We are personally acquainted with almost all of these people and we can tell you that any one of them could put on a concert you would not want to miss!

This is a benefit for the Faith Petric Camp New Harmony Scholarship Fund and all proceeds will be donated to this fund.

Every New Year's weekend, the San Francisco Folk Music Club puts on a five day music camp with wall-to-wall workshops, concerts, dancing and general merrymaking which we have attended for at least 35 years. The camp is run entirely by volunteers but costs for the camp continue to escalate (mainly due to insurance) and many people are being priced out of attending. For this reason, a "Campership Fund" was established. Anyone who feels like they can afford it pays extra for attending the camp or just makes a donation and anyone who can't scrape up the money can ask for a partial reduction. It has all worked on the honor system for many, many years.

But, times have been hard lately and the account is pitifully low. This benefit concert is being held to build the fund back up. If the fund is too low, some people who contribute in major ways to making the camp what it is will not be able to attend and all of us will suffer the loss.   

The concert is at the Berkeley Fellowship of Universal Unitarians, 1924 Cedar Street (at Bonita Avenue), Berkeley, California. It starts at 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 12.
