Here's some country music like you may not have heard it -- Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" by Mingo Saldivar. Tinny sound quality but a spirited performance.

A cowboy once told me "boys can't grow up to be cowboys."

"Cowboys are just big little boys with lots of great big pets."

(Coulld'a been he was just yankin' my leg?)

John

Both Don Edwards and Dave Stamey are featured performers at the Westen Folklife festival in Elko, Nevada.

Here is their website with a list of others who appear...

BTW, why is this not a music thread?

Because it's not blues or folk. Hahahahahaaaa! Sorry; couldn't resist.

Actually, I am just trying to bring some REAL culture and art to the cellar of the depraved and pointless. See above.

There is nothing more Folk than the annual Elko Folklife Festival.

Folks might be surprised to check the list I posted and find Hawaiian, Zydeco, and American Indian performers as well as Irish, Scotish, English and lotsa Canadians.

I believe their guest Tibetian throat singer has died, though.
