Hiya,
    I was supping in the Jacob's or what used to be the Jacob's well pub in the centre of Bradford last night and Christina the landlady asked if I could get together a collection of Singers and Musicians for this coming Thursday night ( April 3rd) who could perform English songs and Music as a way of celebrating English tourism week. The attraction to come along is that there are a selection of 21 Yorkshire Ales on offer (£2.50 a pint)as well as food such as Yorkshire puddings, sausages and gravey and pie and peas.
The event kicks off around 8.00pm so if you're in the area come down, it looks like it could be a reight good do!

Don't know about what's free and what's not didn't think to ask, just thought in this day and age of pumped up piped music & karaoke, it's grand to see live music being encouraged in pubs and I don't know about other folk butI'm quite happy to go in a pub and buy me beer and food, after all if we didn't they'd close and where would we go to play our music?

I hope you meant "Instrumentalists & Singers"
I don't mind being excluded from "Instrumentalists" (although I do consider "voice" to be an instrument). I do object when singers are not even considered to be musicians though.

Ended up being a good night and for Richard and guest Ray's info. we'd to pay for the beer (£2.50 a pint) and the food was free (to all, performers and non performers)everyone enjoyed it and there were requests to the landlady to do it again and frequently.
