Subject: RE: Tech: Windows Task Manager (blank) From: wilbyhillbilly Date: 22 Apr 14 - 10:15 AM Please ignore the above, but for info only, I went to Windows help and found that all you have to do is double click the border and it returns to the familiar window. Thanks anyway. John |
Subject: Tech: Windows Task Manager (blank) From: wilbyhillbilly Date: 22 Apr 14 - 10:01 AM Danny (my son), tried to do a ctrl alt del after his screen froze and we have discovered that the box comes up with a yellow border round it, the inside of the box is completely blank. The only things visible are the three buttons at the bottom, End Task, Switch To, New Task. The first two do not respond at all but the New Task button does give the option to browse the files. So we have no lists of Apps Processes etc and cannot even shut down. I've tried switching off and on again but didn't make any difference. I would be very grateful for any ideas on how to get it back to "normal". We are running winXP. John |
