I have a few mugs that my father brought home from folk festivals. Northwest Folklife (dark blue), Puget Sound Guitar Workshop (white), and a plastic travel mug from Rainy Camp.

It occurs to me that someone out there might have a set of these and want one or all of them. And others among our group may have collectible items (I have t-shirts also, that I'll look through later) that others might want. Maybe you didn't buy the souvenir you planned, or yours was destroyed in the dishwasher. . .

Instagram image.

If postage isn't too horrendous to your location I'll put the one you want in a box and mail it, first come first served. Contact me in the thread or via PM.

Does anyone else have items they'd like to pass along in the same way? See if this thread works for that purpose. These mugs aren't the kind of thing that make a hot item in an auction, they're just trinkets that someone else might treasure.

SRS

Mugs are big and heavy.

Beer mats (coasters) can be shipped world-wide for the price of a postage stamp.

When you travel...ask to purchase...at a corner-bar... a local beer glass. I have never paid, they are always amused.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

many "coaster" groups are rooted two decades ago.

This is in lieu of auction items, they're too small for selling. If putting this thread in play encourages people to put items in the auction, all the better.

Not everyone collected coasters at events, garg.

I also have a bunch of classic folk festival t-shirts.

I suppose people have tapes and LPs(!) and CDs they bought at these events that might also need a new home.

Something too BIG for selling?

Give the old man a five day suspension and see if he shows up sober.

I'm merely interested to see if people collect some of this folk festival stuff and if they want some more or want to offer up their own to collectors. Is that too difficult to figure out, garg? It's not really auction stuff, it's interesting trinkets.
