Sam is a dazzling young fiddler in the English traditional style who's been booked as a soloist at festivals from the age of 11. He founded his own band Kerfuffle. Currently he plays with Bellowhead, Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings, The Fay Hield Trio and in a duo with accordionist, singer & dancer Hannah James. He also plays viola, bagpipes & drums.
He's an experienced & inspiring fiddle tutor.

The workshop will primarily look at ways to inject life into fiddle tunes. If you're thinking of staying overnight, there are reasonable bed and breakfast places here.

I can definitely recommend Sam Sweeney's fiddle workshops. He's a really good fiddler and teacher, and has a tremendous sense of the sheer fun of music. He's also good at pitching his workshops at where the attendees are coming from. This one looks like he's expecting fiddlers with at least basic experience, but don't feel shy. He'll make it work for you one way or another.
