Nigel

We are trying for the 3rd Sunday every month, this will be the 6th one on the 18th of May. It's going well but not attracting the youngsters that we would like.

We held them 3 or 4 times a year at out weekly folk club in amongst the more frequent guest nights and we called them Open Evenings and they worked very well.

A point arising from some of the ageist comments above -
Is there a problem with (probably very experienced) older performers still wanting to perform?

All your own noise.

Totally unamplified.

No mikes need apply.

I like Cool Beans' idea.

A pub I used to frequent called their open night. "come all ye"

The poster on the bar had "faithful " scrawled on it, to which I added "un"

Whether that infers no microphone or a pub where punters' house keys are all put in a bag and drawn out again, I don't know....

"Unplugged" would be my two penn'th.

Open Stage
Open Floor

I have seen the Bath Acoustic Club proudly pronounce they have a PA available!

Come-All-Ye doesn't really describe everything

how about "Voice Powered"?

Help
Looking for catchy name for an singaround that we are running in a Pub in South Wales. Like Folk and Roll. Acoustic Night, Sail and Ale sort of thing any good suggestions, let me know.
By the way we don't use a PA so no mic, It's going well but could do with it's own identity
Newport Folk Club
