Subject: Lyr Req: Debra DeKelaita 'Round and Round' From: GUEST,Bob Schwarer Date: 24 May 14 - 02:39 PM I would like get the lyrics to the song "Round and Round" by Debra DeKelaita. There is a You Tube entry at: https://www.google.com/#q=debra+dekelaita but my lack of good hearing defeats any attempt to get the words. I hear pretty well, but the understanding is gone. The song was also recorded by the Cluster Pluckers on their album "Just Pluck It" under the title "You'll Remember Me". Really a pretty good album. There is a song with the same title in the data base, but that's not it. I would really appreciate the help of the group in posting the lyrics. |

Subject: Lyr Add: YOU'LL REMEMBER ME (Debra Dekelaita) From: Jim Dixon Date: 27 May 14 - 08:31 PM YOU'LL REMEMBER ME a.k.a. ROUND AND ROUND* Written by Debra Dekelaita As sung by Debra Dekelaita on YouTube video (see above) 1. There's a man who brings me flowers And a man who brings me fun. There's a man who gives his heart to me Thinkin' he's the only one; But of all these lovers I recall, It's you I know the best of all. Oh, I remember you all right And you'll remember me. CHORUS: Strange how love can last so long. You turn again and then it's gone. Guess it was time to move on. I turned around and you were gone. Love's a story that moves on. It doesn't stop; you just jump on. Round and round and around she goes. Where she stops nobody knows. 2. I remember quiet nights at home With you and I here all alone. We unplugged the telephone, Left a note that no one's home. And there within our quiet light, We'd let our love burn through the night. Oh, I remember you all right, And you'll remember me. 3. Now I'm wond'rin' where you've gone. Dear friend, it has been so long Since you and I had it all, Thought that we could never fall. Now as summer's warm turns to fall, I remember you the best of all. Oh, I remember you all right, And you'll remember me. * ASCAP lists YOU'LL REMEMBER ME as the primary title and ROUND AND ROUND as an alternate. The following artists all recorded this song under the title YOU'LL REMEMBER ME: Margo [an Irish singer, the sister of Daniel O'Donnell] on "The Margo Collection" (1996). Joe Brown on his album "Fifty-Six and Taller than You Think" (1997). Louise Morrissey [another Irish singer] on her album "You'll Remember Me" (2013). |
