Subject: Lyr Req: Bold Britain From: Musicboy Date: 26 May 14 - 06:21 AM I was listening to Boldwood performing Bold Britain on "feet don't fail me now" and was struck by the extent to which it sounded like the tune for a song. Has anyone ever come across any lyrics to this tune? |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Bold Britain From: GUEST,Ed Date: 26 May 14 - 07:49 PM Am slightly confusing myself here. From the above link, I can get to this youtube entry: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhuXooEfsWU where the tune is named as 'Tunbridge Beauties/ Galloway Girth' Which is it? |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Bold Britain From: Jack Campin Date: 26 May 14 - 08:17 PM That LetsLoop page just loops. No sound, it wants me to sign up, and I get widgets suggesting "other listening options" which don't work. There are a couple of similar sites that don't work any better. I've tried two different browsers. http://abcnotation.com doesn't know of any ABC transcription. Google Image search doesn't show a score. I'm not about to buy a CD from a group I've never heard of. I give up. Maybe somebody at Whitby Folk Week will know it. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Bold Britain From: Joe Offer Date: 27 May 14 - 02:20 AM The LetsLoop link works for me in California - but then again, it may not work in the UK. The "play" button is white on a yellow background, and it's hard to see. As far as I know, limited use of Spotify is still free in the U.S., although I pay five bucks a month to use Spotify without limits or commercials. -Joe- |
