Dorothy died last Thursday in hospital - only days before her 60th birthday. I don't have a lot of details I'm afraid.

Although not a member of Mudcat she will be known to many from many years of folking, mainly at Herga Folk Club in Harrow.

I'm glad she fulfilled a long held dream of living on the Isle of Skye in the last few years of her life.

RIP wise and wonderful lady.

I hope Dorothy has had a good send-off - I was reminiscing with John Heydon at Haddenham on Saturday evening about Dorothy's introduction to dwile flunking, at a fete in Kingsbury involving the Herga folk club, when she was about 14 (and distinctly damp). RIP Dorothy....
