Subject: Lost/Stolen 1971 Martin D-28 From: GUEST,Kate Wagner Date: 28 May 14 - 03:49 PM I am seeking information regarding a 1971 Martin D-28, Serial No. 289545. Just as with another post on this forum, the loss occurred at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago in 1979. The difference with my loss is that the instrument was actually taken by a trusted staff member who later claimed that he had "stored it in the basement of the school and it was stolen." I just found out that he had kept the instrument and later passed it on to someone else who no longer has it. Ironic that my former teacher still claims association with the school as if he had never done any wrong, when, in fact, he stole my guitar which ended my playing the instrument. From what I understand, my guitar could very well be either on the market or being played by someone. Whoever has this guitar now does not realize it was stolen. I have no grudge, personal or legal against them. I would simply love to have my instrument back so that I can enjoy it again just as they have. I am the first and ONLY owner of this instrument and have the owner/ registration card bearing my name and address. Thanks for any assistance or information. |
