Loose village ( home of the famous Loose women morris ) is having its second folk day this Sunday- 15 June 2014. Loose is on the outskirts of Maidstone in Kent.
You might even hear the Loose hornpipe ( Simon Care ) played.

It starts at midday. There's an open mic session on Brook's Field (by The Chequers pub) throughout the afternoon. There are musical activities for children and refreshments from 2 p.m.
Atlantic Currants will be rounding off the day with a gig in the pavilion from 7.30 to 10 p.m. Tickets for the evening concert are £5, and there will be a licensed bar with quality ales provided by Rockin' Robin.

I picked up a leaflet at Rainham and let Faversham FC know. Its good that these local things go on.
Who will play the famous Loose hornpipe?

Sounds like a good event but I reckon it would be about a sixty mile round trip from where I am this weekend. Hope it goes well.

I'm glad people are thinking of eco miles. Too many times you see a barn dance band or an invited morris side from 50+ miles away when there is a perfectly good band or morris side in the local area that have not been asked.
Still no offers for the Loose Hornpipe?
FloraG.

Hope it went well. And is this to be an annual event?
