How kind, John... to be strictly accurate, they are not "downloads" - you just listen to them on the web site. There's an album to win every month too... This month (June 2014) it's "Unicorns" a double CD by Bill Caddick as the programme also includes a feature interview with him as he approaches his 70th birthday.

I would like people to be aware of a great 'new' monthly folk orientated webcast. It is really good, informative and easy listening. It comes in 2 half hour download sessions and contains a great selection of varied folk music and songs. See the link www.gentlefolk2.co.uk to listen.

It is produced by Norman Wheatley, who runs Warwick folk club. In the past he professionally produced a folk magazine program for radio called Gentle Folk and he brings this expertise, his contacts and knowledge to these new programs. Is also contains some info as to what's happening in the midlands folk scene

I say say 'new' as that's what it will be for most people but is has been running since Sept 2013. The site gives the chance to listen to past programs.

If you love folk music give it a try you will not be disappointed!
