The Black Dog at Dalton has folk & acoustic 3rd Wed in the month.
The Crown at High Newton has a very good open mic on the last Thursday in the month. Check out Fiona Hanlon "Fiona music in the Lakes" as well, she's all over and is really good.

There is a regular music session every Tuesday at the Hope and Anchor in Daltongate, Ulverston. Starting around 9 pm, musicians and singers are all welcome.

Ali Kyle usually has a session every fourth Friday in The Old Friends in Soutergate, Ulverston, starting at    8 30 pm.

The Prince of Wales at Foxfield has a session every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

There is a singers' session at the Black Dog just outside of Dalton every 3rd Wednesday of the month, starting about 7 30 pm.

Made it to the Prince of Wales in Foxfield last night. Small, select group of participants but an enjoyable evening nevertheless.

Thanks for the info. I don't think that Saturday is on but it gives me a couple of ideas mid-week to work on ... provided I can wangle a pass-out from the Boss.

Doug...See what's happening at The Prince of Wales, Foxfield - some Wednesdays, I think. Also Saturday nights at The Bespoke Folk Café, Coniston...resident duo Tapestry and whoever else has a go. (Small spot with nice PA.) Angler's Arms, Haverthwaite - some Thursdays. All googlable for details...   I'll have a think in meantime... ;-)

Regards to all... Spot

I will be spending a few days in the southern part of the Lake District, at Broughton in Furness, later this month. I realise that August is often a thin time for music sessions, sing-a-rounds, open-mic nights and the like but does anyone know of anything going on in the area?
