At the Tom Yates thread, Peter Hardie gave this chorus for This River belongs to me:

And he commented:
The tune ... was subsequently used on Second City Spiritual on Nearly St Marie, which paled in comparison with the original song.

The original song sounds like a song I would like to know. Does anyone recall the verses?
