I believe it starts out "Twas a balmy day as the King sallied forth into the courtyard where his loyal subjects had gathered to witness the castration of the royal bull"

Is that a clean or dirty version? There is a dirty version about how Daniel was cast out into the wilderness. Eric (Sorry only know the dirty version)

It is indeed another of the 'Jokes on the king, drinks on Daniel' strain, and if we ever get them all together in one place, I suspect the universe will collapse. As far as I'm aware, there is no clean version of this....

There must be hundreds of [what are they? monologues?] like this, like the funny zoo and 'Lulu had a baby' and all that. Someone ought to collect them all and publish them (don't look at me!). I can remember one or two that were current among my friends when I was around six or seven; everybody seemed to know most of the words except me; but I could never find a complete version, or anybody who'd teach me what they knew. Come on guys, start posting those rhymes!

Steve

A good song from Bill Caddick is "Captian Valiant" the chorus goes :-

Oh NO! Oh NO! here he comes again it's Captian Bloody Valiant, here he comes again. With his chair and his whip, bloody pistol at his hip, Like Daniel in the Bloody Lions Den
