Subject: RE: For Sale McSpadden Lap Dulcimer From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 25 Aug 14 - 03:38 PM Can you make a video of somebody playing it so we can hear how it sounds? How old is it? Has it ever been dropped or damaged? Where has it been stored? What temp and humidity? These are things to consider when buying an instrument. =========== I'm sorry you have troubles serious enough to need a lawyer, Sorcha. (When I clicked on your link, the picture didn't come up.) |
Subject: RE: For Sale McSpadden Lap Dulcimer From: Sorcha Date: 25 Aug 14 - 03:45 PM Sorry, I used the make a clicky, you can just go to the McSpadden Dulcimer home site and look at the trad scroll heads. Testing the link worked for me...HELP Joe! Ok, NEVER dropped, stored in Wyoming....low humidity. Indoor temp pretty constant at 70 F. How old?...ooh, a hard one....let's guess 20 years....but McSpadden design hasn't changed and in lots of folks opinions, they are the Top of the Line for lap dulcimers. PS--not sure I can do a vid, have to get daughter to help me with that and find a place to post it. Pretty 'big' voice for a 4 string dulcimer tho. (My husband of 40 years has left me...hence the lawyer. Oh well.) Have a 29 string (on the large size) lap harp for sale too, but NO clue how to ship it!! |
Subject: RE: For Sale McSpadden Lap Dulcimer From: Jeri Date: 25 Aug 14 - 04:29 PM The link works fine for me, Sorcha. It's also my opinion, for what that's worth, that people can understand you not giving a percentage to Mudcat in this case. I'm sorry for your troubles. |
Subject: RE: For Sale McSpadden Lap Dulcimer From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 26 Aug 14 - 11:15 AM Sorcha, does your husband have a 401k, a pension or an ESOP? Do you own a house? Perhaps your lawyer can wait to get paid till those things (if any) are split. |

Subject: RE: For Sale McSpadden Lap Dulcimer From: GUEST,hg Date: 28 Aug 14 - 02:12 PM So sorry, Mary. Get a good lawyer. You earned your half of the assets. I'm offloading one myself (dulcimer not husband) so I can't help you. hg |
