For the record, you can't change the title of a thread by changing the title of your post. That's what Manitas tried, and I'm guessing the OP started the thread and though of a better name, and that didn't work either. I'll change it.

except it's just reverted!

which also fixes the thread name.

And subject name replaced

"What's wrong with opening the thread to see who submitted it?"
yes but not everyone would

".or googling Joe and the band?"
yes but not everyone would

If you're advertising you may as well advertise

"The first post is headed 'Urban Folk Quartet'"
Yes, but the thread isn't. Another tour could be Morris, or a visitor from the States to England, or v.v.

Anyway, there you go, thread refreshed, for those who bother to open it.

The first post is headed 'Urban Folk Quartet'. Why would it change?

"especially as no-one will know who started it as soon as I've pressed Submit. "
So why change the title?

Mo, I believe that they are The Urban Folk Quartet

Ah, I see that Mudcat doesn't show who started the thread OR who posted last. Or when the thread was stated. Some other forums tell us all that.

Tell us a bit about what you do.
The thread heading is not very informative, especially as no-one will know who started it as soon as I've pressed Submit.

I know that I know many of you and even more of you I don't but every so often I get a message asking why I haven't made info available so here it is...

So far it has been quite a year, the summer really was the most monumental ever for me with Folk Ensemble gigs (the full 47 piece band) taking us to Cropredy, Shambala and Towersey.... it was mind-blowing really - so much positivity! To top it all off we finally have the new line-up of UFQ sorted and out on the road. Dan Walsh is doing an amazing job of both fitting in and bringing something totally new to the band.

2014 will be the first year UFQ haven't released an album but we are starting work in November on a studio album of a different kind to what we've done before... watch this space.

The Autumn tour is here and I sincerely hope some of you will come to a show. Cheers,

Joe
