A sparkling new DVD of the 1981 BBC show 'Jake Thackray and Songs' has gone on sale on Amazon this very morning. The DVD features all of Jake's performances (thirty songs and some splendid between-songs chat) and those of three of the artists who did guest spots on the show - Ralph McTell, Alex Glasgow and Pete Scott.

The DVD has been put together by a group of Jake's most ardent fans who passionately felt that this material should be out there and generally available. We worked from the BBC masters so the quality is very good indeed. I heartily commend it to the house!

Leadfingers - So far as I can see you should be able to order through Amazon.co.uk, though the process may be bit more complicated (having had a peek into the labyrinthine workings of Amazon it seems complication comes as standard!) I don't know if this link would be helpful. There, I've got the hang of the blue clicky thing now!

Leadfingers - It seems there was a problem with international sales but Amazon assure us this has now been solved. Do give it another go if you've not managed it already.

LF, I just ordered it from amazon.co.uk delivery to New Zealand, in $NZ, with no problems.
I do have an Amazon account, and what I've ordered in the past has come from the UK, Germany, and the USA.

Had to pay carriage, though. Too small an order to get carriage-free.

My Christmas present. Along with a Madeleine Peyroux CD and a welding helmet!
