Dear All London Folk Club organisers.

Please will someone get Magpie Lane down for a Christmas concert? I know they played Islington and brought down the house.

It would be so good if someone did, I'll bring everyone!

Thanks for everything you do, we are very lucky to have such good folk clubs down here.

Someone always spoils the day but mentioning the December thing in early October really is a bit naughty.

Tesco are looking for people like you.

No point in asking on 25th December if they'll come down, now, is it? I am being organised.

Cheer up, Grumpy - I'll buy you some festive chocolate coins. From Tesco.

Thanks Tim for pointing out that we are still very much a going concern.

We have Christmas concerts this year in Oxford (Holywell Music Room, as always), Woking, Towcester and Ringwood - full details here.

We could probably squeeze in a London date if someone were to make us an offer!

Andy

@grumpy
Are you the person who once rang me up asking me to recommend a ceilidh band for a wedding just a week away?

October is far too late to arrange gigs for December. Most clubs are already booked through to February at least, many until midsummer.

If anyone needs a ceilidh band in the Gloucestershire area , just ask "Tradsinger" (or me !) .
