I have the Patrick Sky songbook from way back, but it's buried in the house somewhere, I'll see if I can find it. Since you put this under chord request, I was going to say that, when I saw him perform in 1974, he opened his show with that song and played it in open G tuning (DGDGBD).

Yes, Greg, that was a great album. I mentioned to Patrick one of the times I met him, that I really liked that album and he said he wasn't sure he still had a copy of it.

Phil, 'm going to have to check here at the 'Cat & if they're not in the database, I'll transcribe (may take a while) the rest of the lyrics from that album.

"Sometimes I Wonder" has always been a favorite of mine & "Jimmy Clay" is in the top three best anti-was songs of all time - if not #1. It doesn't get much play these days & I've always wondered why.

I also like Dance of Death and Follow the Long Haired Lady. I agree about Jimmy Clay. I saw him perform it when our PBS station broadcast some of the Philadelphia Folk Festival in the mid-70's. I understand that the videos were later destroyed, what a shame.

I saw him perform it when our PBS station broadcast some of the Philadelphia Folk Festival in the mid-70's.

One of my great regrets is that I never managed to see him live - perhaps he'll give a pipe concert somewhere withion reasonable driving distance one of these days.

If he needs a vinyl copy of "Reality Is Bad Enough", I'd be happy to send him mine.   ;>)

Its a real shame his work doesn't get more play these days.

The chords are very simple; all you need to learn are the bluesy picking patterns. I learnt it in standard tuning and it works OK. Maybe open G will work better.

PS: Separation Blues is tougher than this one.

Only the intro and bridge have the G-C-D-G progression. Also there is a G-D-C-G-D7-G in the bridge part.
