Having been to a friend's wedding in Scotland where the ceilidh band was more upbeat than many Scottish bands and had a full drum k it, but NOT a covers band with electric guitar ect. I wondered if there are such bands in the Sheffield area.   Traditional Scottish/Irish but lively. Any help much appreciated.

Can't help personally, but a look through the listings at Yorkshire Folk Arts might give you some ideas.
