I recall this from my youth.

Eins, zwei, Polizei
One, Two, Police
This traditional children's song and nursery rhyme has been recorded by at least two German groups: Mo-Do (1994) and S.W.A.T. (2004). (Note: We have not reviewed the CD song lyrics, which may or may not be suitable for young children.) Also see German Nursery Rhymes.

Melodie: Mo-Do
Text: Traditional

DEUTSCH

Eins, zwei, Polizei
drei, vier, Offizier
fünf, sechs, alte Hex'
sieben, acht, gute Nacht!
neun, zehn, auf Wiedersehen!
(Alt. verse:
   neun, zehn, schlafen geh'n.)        ENGLISH

One, two, police
Three, four, officer
five, six, old witch
seven, eight, good night!
nine, ten, good-bye!
(Alt. verse:
   nine, ten, off to bed.)

Any other variations?

Hi, Tenn Jim-
If you copy and post something from another source, it's a good idea to say where you got it from. I think your post comes from this Website:
http://german.about.com/library/blmus_kinderPolizei.htm

I wondered what the reference to Mo-Do was. Apparently, "Modo" is the Euro-pop group that made this recording in 1994 as a recitation with a musical background:
http://german.about.com/library/blmus_kinderPolizei.htm

The video gives these as the lyrics for the Modo recording:

Eins Zwei Polizei
Drei Vier Grenadier
Funf Sechs Alte Hex
Sieben Acht Gute Nacht

Ja Ja Ja Was ist los? Was ist das?
(repeat)

I didn't find the song in my modest collection of German songbooks. Are then any native German speakers here who grew up with this rhyme, or it is a Modo composition?

-Joe-

Abzählreime für Kinder

Ene mene mopel,
wer frisst Popel?
Süß und saftig,
eine Mark und achtzig,
eine Mark und zehn,
und du kannst geh'n!

Eine kleine Mickymaus
zog sich mal die Hosen aus,
zog sie wieder an,
und du bist dran!

Ich und du
Müllers Kuh,
Müllers Esel
das bist du!

Ene mene muh
und raus bis du.

Eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben,

wo ist meine Braut geblieben?

Ist nicht hier, ist nicht da,

ist wohl in Amerika!

Ene mene meck

und du bist weg!

Eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben,

eine alte Frau kocht Rüben,

eine alte Frau kocht Speck,

und du bist weg!

Ringel rangel Rose,

Butter in die Dose,

Butter in den Speck

und du bist weg

Ene mene Miste,

es rappelt in der Kiste,

ene mene meck

und du bist weg!

Ipse dipse silber Nixe,

ipse dipse - weg!

Ein, zwei, Polizei,
drei vier, Offizier,
fünf, sechs, alte Hex,
sieben, acht, gute Nacht
neun, zehn, du musst geh'n

Ene, mene muh und raus bist du!
Raus bist du noch lange nicht,
sag mir erst wie alt du bist.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

Henriette,

goldne Kette,

goldner Schuh

und raus bist du!
