Subject: RE: Swindon Folk Club From: GUEST,Enfield/SWindon Pete Date: 15 Dec 14 - 02:28 PM The Swindon club is 53 years old next January. Ted & Ivy Poole set it up early 1960s and they and the club are still going strong. Pop along some time. I don't know the place you mentioned as I've been in Swindon for less than ten years. But I'll ask around for some info. |
Subject: RE: Swindon Folk Club From: bubblyrat Date: 15 Dec 14 - 08:35 AM A Folk Club in Swindon, eh ?? Sounds interesting . The "Rolling Mills" pub WOULD have been a good venue ( my mother's family , Ekes and Neales used to own it !) but I fear that it is now a nightclub or vice den or something ?? |
