The Swindon club is 53 years old next January. Ted & Ivy Poole set it up early 1960s and they and the club are still going strong. Pop along some time. I don't know the place you mentioned as I've been in Swindon for less than ten years. But I'll ask around for some info.

A Folk Club in Swindon, eh ?? Sounds interesting . The "Rolling Mills" pub WOULD have been a good venue ( my mother's family , Ekes and Neales used to own it !) but I fear that it is now a nightclub or vice den or something ??

Swindon Traditional Folksingers Club are having their 'Seasonal Bash' this coming Friday 19th Dec 2014.   The world famous Swindon Mummers will perform for your entertainment.   All welcome - no entrance fee bring some food. the Mummers will be undertaking their world tour of Swindon Old Town on Sunday 21st.   Calling at the Wheatsheaf Ale House, The Hop Inn and the Beehive (where Missing Rosie will be performing.
