Hi All,

Thanks for reminding folks about this very special event for the Family, much appreciated. And thanks for the nice comments about the BBC TV feature...we thought it looked and sounded pretty good too!

There are a handful of tickets left...hope to see some of you there...as noted by brother Tom some time back, the first half of the concert will be a Graeme Miles Song Cycle, with slides and dialogue; in the main, covering the songs we put together with Graeme in 1982/83 for our first full album "Horumarye", the first album completely dedicated to the songs of Graeme. We will be joined at the end of that set, by two performers who have championed Graeme's work more than any, over the past 55 years or so....

The second set, will be a mix of our repertoire from over our 40 years as Seven Continuously Singing Siblings!!....a few surprise friends (i.e. friends we never new we had!! ;-)are likely to step up for that one too....

Please also note, The Welly Folk Club will, for one night only, be closed this Thursday 26th March, as most of the club will be joining us for our special night at The Sage Gateshead:

Cheers,

Mike

Well! what can I say? Brilliant, that's what I would say!A real party atmosphere shared by all. The first half 'Tribute' to 'Graeme Miles' was Superb. The second half Concert with 'Surprise Guests' was just fantastic, and with the Wilson Lads joined by their two Sisters for the final few songs, the night was brought to a very fitting end to a very memorable evening. Thank you!

Excellent night! The Wilson's were outstanding as were all their guests. It was also good to see Vin Garbutt looking well, after his latest spell of ill-health.

Hi All,

Yes, a really magical night last Thursday at our 40th Celebration Concert. Many thanks to all of our friends, old & new, who came along and made it such a special evening for us.

There is a short piece of footage from the finale here, with all Seven Singing Siblings Strutting their collective Stuff!..a bit grainy, but it gives you a feel for the night I think, a great night:

Finale: Wilson Family 40th Anniversary Concert: Sage Gateshead 26th March 2015

Just a reminder that our weekly folk club at The Welly, is open as usual once again this week after last weeks break for the above. Singaround/Session tonight, and next week the 9th, our April Guest, Glenda McCormack, a fine singer & musician from, Robertstown, County Kildare:

Cheers,

Mike
