Just heard that Jack Lee, who with his wife Mavis ran a number of clubs in the Rochdale area in the 60s and 70s, passed away a few weeks ago.

Surprised it wasn't reported on Mudcat, but thanks to Roger Liptrot for this link from their "Hobo's Retreat" country & western club website:

How terribly sad. I knew Jack & Mavis from their days running their folk club at The Fisherman's Inn at Hollingworth Lake.

Jack was an enormously likeable person, he'll be missed.
