Lina Khattab, an 18 year old student at Birzeit University and a folk dancer with the Funoun Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe, has been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment , a 1500 USD fine and 3 years probation by an Israeli court.
She has been detained in prison since December and has stated she has been subject to beatings,harsh interrogations and held in freezing conditions.
She is one of hundreds of Palestinian children and young people from the illegally occupied West Bank who have been imprisoned for resisting the occupation of Palestinian land.
