There was an episode of Bones where a major character is a 57 Les Paul guitar... is it really worth building an episode around?

Hmmm. Is it sentient?

All that they were going on and on about... before they took it apart to see if it was the murder weapon.

Maybe, if it once belonged to Duane Allman. Otherwise a '58-'60 sunburst is far more desirable to collectors.

Perhaps the scriptwriter is a guitar nerd.

The guitar is often referred to as an AXE - a far better murder weapon.
Now if it had been a Vega Banjo ........

Bones was all impressed with it, and then just took it apart, coldly and logically, and that got more of a shocked gasp from me than most of her bodies had!

"a '58-'60 sunburst is far more desirable to collectors."

I was born in 58 but am worth far much less to collectors and investors..

.. mind you, having said that...

.. little punkfolkrocker is not doing too badly and still functioning adequately well for it's vintage,
and of far more value to Mrs punfolkrocker than any high price tag investment guitar...😜

"Perhaps the scriptwriter is a guitar nerd."

The writer of the recent BBC series "The Fall" is - all the characters had guitar-related surnames, including Hagstrom...

Ditto the names of characters from the 1989 Jean-Claude Van Damme movie "Cyborg"..

When did "all that" without saying all that "something" become a way of talking. Is this recent or something like saying "Whatev" instead of "Whatever."
I guess I'm showing my age, but...

No, there is the poem, a man's a man for all that. Old, not new. Kipling, I believe. But then again, I've never kippled.
