Hi, friends,
I have, recently, been enjoying online concerts on Concert Window. It seems I can only "follow" people if I know they performs concerts via the site & select them. Would you do me the kindness of letting me know, on this thread, if you perform on Concert Window?

You have a good idea here. I know David Ruch performs there. Well worth listening to, though you have to be careful, because sometimes his tickets are expensive. I'm sure there is a good reason for this, but I don't know it. It would be helpful if Concert Window had a code that they insisted performers use to identify their genres; e.g., fm=folk
ssw=singer songwriter, jz=jazz clas=classical other= doesn't fit in any of the standard slots.

I can search by specific performers, to "follow" them, but it would be nice to know if fellow mudcatters perform there, so I can support them. I know Dave Ruch & Deb Cowan use the site.

Airymouse - thanks for the nice comment. Lately, all of my Concert Window shows have been for school groups, who pay $95 each to access a curriculum-related concert for their students. It's been great for the schools, as time and budget have become so precious and opportunities to bring in artists have been on the decline for years. And, it's great for me, as it saves me travel time and expense and allows me to reach students all across the country and beyond. Just yesterday, I did a concert for nine schools in eight states - ID, CO, IN, AR, GA, NY, MN & WI! I would never want "virtual" performing to completely supplant being face to face with audiences of kids (or adults), but it's been a real win-win so far.

If you ever want to watch one of these educational shows, just for fun, let me know. I know the guy who has the login info. ;)

Thanks, bbc for letting folks here know about Concert Window. My show on Jan. 25 (thanks SO much for watching!) was really fun and I thought went very well. I did something a bit different in that I had a very small live audience in addition to the online folks. I also had a a web camera that Concert Window recommended and an external USB microphone. The feedback on the sound and video quality was positive. My husband who is highly critical of this kind of stuff was wowed.

Some folks did have issues, but it was on their end. I am sure that I'll be doing another later this year.

Deb Cowan
