(from Joe Offer) - this is an e-mail I received. Can anybody help?

I was searching through Google about (Derek Brimstone) and tripped over your site, not even knowing if this is still running. Many years ago my eldest Brother attended one of his concerts
and bought a cassette that was on sale at the time. This contained various song including something about crossing the Kings Road , Circus Lady Giant and Dwarf one about Rommel during the War and my favourite , his rendition of the Gnome Song. Sadly this cassette he seems unable to find but his intro to the gnome song and the rendition there of surpasses the original by a country mile on this tape. I am desperately trying to track this down. I'm not sure that you can help in this quest but I'm trying every route possible. Very funny and talented man and greatly missed , is a shame that people like this are either overlooked , not widely known amongst the audiences out there that just get inundated with the more commercial rubbish that abounds. Regards Bob B

I think that it might be his second album "Very Good Time" that contains these tracks. I have his "Riverboat Shuffle" LP but I don't think it is that one. I'm sure that Al Whittle will be along soon and he'll put you right.

All I have to do to make my Mum laugh is say "Cup of tea and a bun, please" and she falls about. I was his agent for a while: he's one of the only people ever who could make me laugh till I cried and my ribs hurt. Marvellous man!
And a cracking guitarist.
