I'm sad to have to let you know that my Dad, Katy's Grandad died this morning at the ripe old age of 94. He had had a string of infections and stays in hospital and had already declared himself ready to go and tired of living - but it's still a shock.

RIP Don Jackson 1920 - 2015. As a friend said this morning "Once you met him you never forgot him".

My condolences, Tig. Lost my Dad in January. He was 92 so another good innings but it does not make it any easier. I am now starting to remember the good times and filter out him being ill. It starts to get better when all the formalities are done.

I am sorry to read your sad news. I hope you have many good memories of your time with him.
