Subject: RE: Help identify a piano piece From: Tattie Bogle Date: 12 Mar 15 - 06:48 PM Nice tune, Weasel. Your link doesn't work, FreddyHeadey. Maybe you meant this one: seems the best of several pianist attempts on YT, a three-part tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OzRZFcBJa8 Then there's this band version too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=897BX_ClKIE |
Subject: RE: Help identify a piano piece From: Stilly River Sage Date: 12 Mar 15 - 08:09 PM Freddy left out the http in the URL. It works now, and you both linked to the same performance. Great minds think alike! |
Subject: RE: Help identify a piano piece From: G-Force Date: 13 Mar 15 - 04:46 AM The tune originally had the third part in a different key from the first part (like in the youtube pianist link above). Here in the UK, we sessioners usually play the first and third parts in the same key, probably because that's how the New Victory Band played it on their (one and only) album. It's a great tune and you can have a lot of fun with it. |
Subject: RE: Help identify a piano piece From: Tattie Bogle Date: 13 Mar 15 - 04:57 AM A bit like The Bluebell Polka only getting 2 out of its 3 keys played in sessions, which may depend on the instruments' capabilities. |
