Subject: Instrument design research -violins From: FreddyHeadey Date: 12 Mar 15 - 04:44 PM Interesting piece on the shape of sound holes in violins here. BBC Inside Science > about 20 minutes in. I'm not sure how long these progs stay available. btw check the start of the previous week's prog for research looking at how your(well, rats') synapses work when listening to different sounds. |

Subject: RE: Instrument design research -violins From: Mr Red Date: 13 Mar 15 - 04:47 AM If you want more on the subject have a look at this video and watch it through. It is long at 1.5 hours. But to a scientific mind it is very revealing. If you are a violin maker very useful. I sent the URL to Bill Smith in Worcester, he makes very good violins. |

Can't remember if I previewed it. (just did and it worked). BT hotspots do that, they disconnect from the server whenever they choose and leave the router connected! Do it in chunks - the science is intiguing. |
