Subject: Set Dancing Skibbereen? From: Rog Peek Date: 16 Mar 15 - 02:58 PM I have a friend and his wife who are going to Skibbereen for a few weeks and would like to know if there is any set dancing around the area that they might be able to take in. Rog |
Subject: RE: Set Dancing Skibbereen? From: Mr Red Date: 16 Mar 15 - 04:10 PM Set dancing in Skibbereen on YouTube looks like they have a club/nights. And West Cork has set dances. I was told by the Organiser of Stroud Ceilidhs who went to somewhere in Ireland for a week of Set Dancing that if you expect everyone to be fluent and on the ball, it is much like it is in the UK - a mix of abilities. We are lucky in Gloucestershire in having a practice twice a month and a Sunday afternoon monthly with a good crowd. In Wooton Under Edge. Then Bristol every Sunday.
