Hi All
This is my first post.
I am looking for any folk songs or tunes about the Panama Canal that have a Caribbean connection..
I know about "Panama man", 'Colon man' aka 'One, two three, four, Colon man'.
I want to learn these songs, so if you could you also let me know on which LP/music book etc you found the song.
Thanks
Jacqueline

There is a webpage about the Gaillard Cut (the deadliest part of the construction process) which mentions a song of the time called "Somebody Dying Every Day". That might be relevant, if you can find it.
