Sad news for me - Verbatim C&P

March 22nd 2015

I am very sad to announce that LothersdaleLive has had to close its doors

The idea was to bring headline artists to a monthly local venue, at

affordable prices, complementing the local folk clubs who could not

do so because of their physical and audience sizes.

Sadly I have not been attracting large enough audiences to make the venture viable

I would like to thank all of the artists who have performed and Andy

McDermott and Dave Speight who provide excellent sound.

Bridgehouse Brewery stayed with us, though I suspect it was not

really viable, and I thank them very much for that.

My great friend, Jim McDonald has been my mentor and my peerless MC

And, finally I would like to thank the audience members who came

along, enjoyed the music and supported us.

I only went twice (Vin Garbutt and Jez Lowe) so I guess I am part of the problem but, to be honest, while other bookings were all excellent in their own right, they did not inspire me to get there. Still, lovely old style village hall and very well run concert nights. Thanks to the organisers and everyone involved.
