Anyone know any more about it than what is on the web please?

We are in the area with the narrow boat but not that close. Is it a - join in with everything- or sit in silence sort of do?

What's the position about dogs - we would not want to leave her in the boat for that length of time?

Thanks
FloraG

It's a song & ale weekend. There's a page on Facebook - tickets available either for whole weekend or daily. Weekend tickets £15. Not sure about dogs.

Banbury Song and Ale Weekend 10-12 April 2015

Hi Flora, I think you can get a good idea of what it's like from the info on the page above.

It's generally in singaround format (everyone who wants to, gets a chance to perform in turn, on invitation, interspersed with other activities including the Grand National sweep, raffles and other competitions and quizzes (for a small fee- it IS a fundraiser!) for those who want to partake, and the odd performance spot from "surprise guests".

All very friendly, and a separate bar area for chatting, away from the singing. I think there'll be a morris workshop with Sue White on the Saturday morning, sometimes there are singing workshops too.

Re. the dog situation, it will probably depend on the Cricket Club's regulations. I suggest you ring Derek and Mary (Merek'n'Dary on Mudcat)on the number given on the page I linked to above.
