This one doesn't fit the classic name game form where one works with the other to make something humorously (or humourously) new. Instead it is the jolting juxtoposition of two threads with the same prefix but greatly different kinds of message:

No, BSer, what I said in that thread was that I would no longer use the prefix B.S. "except when referring to fertilizer of a bovine origin." This is not B.S., it's idle chatter (maybe I'll use "Idle Chatter" for my prefix--na-a-ah. That'd give you lot satisfaction).

Since Garg is back and in rare form, I'd like to point out that above he has inadvertently demonstrated that he is, indeed, BSer, as well. This revelation should surprise no one. Proof? The place where I said that I was restricting my participation in BS threads was in a personal message to Gargoyle--there was certainly no such message in From Pills to Purge Melancholy. Gargoyle, this attempt to make it seem there are others who share your virulent and pustulent aversion to BS threads is really pathetic. Seek help. I don't think you were with us yet when there was an extended listing of people's favorite lines from "Young Frankenstein." I think one of them was from the scene where Igor (Marty Feldman), Dr. F. (Gene Wilder) and Inga (?) (Terri Garr) have just arrived at the castle. Igor goes to the door and, just as Dr. F. is lifting Inga down from the haywagon, lifts the door knocker and lets it go. The whole house seems to resonate with the crash. Dr. Frankensteen is impressed. "What knockers!" he remarks. Inga is pleased: "Why, thank you, Doctor."

Ah no, that was a famous blooper on a children's show called Blue Peter. There was a feature on the famous knocker on Durham Cathedral's door, called the Sanctuary Knocker. The original has been replaced by a copy, and placed in the museum. The copy and the original were displayed side by side, and as they cut to the second (male) presenter, called, I think Simon Groom (or Chris Wenner, I can never remember), he said, completely straight faced, 'Have you ever seen a finer pair of knockers.....'

I like the line from the Naked Gun movie, when Priscilla Beaulieu Presley is ascending the loft ladder 'Nice beaver' 'Yes, I just had it stuffed' handing down a large semi-aquatic rodent.....
