I too wish both events well, and would likely be supporting either or both if I were in the locality.

Is there a loud echo in Chorley?

I've got the message, thank you. Unfortunately, I shall be enjoying the end of a holiday in Helston, recovering from Flora Day.

The clash is unlikely to affect many of the denizens of Chorley. I hope you don't get a dear landlord and that you have a million dollar bash.

Dear Folk at the Barlow,

Please take a look at the threads on the Forum Menu and notice that NONE OF THEM HAVE TITLES IN ALL CAPS. I retitled your threads and combined two that appeared to be talking about the same event.

At a minimum, a thread title advertising an event should answer the questions what, when, and where. I know there isn't much space in the thread title box, but you can fit more info in if you don't use all caps.

Also, be aware that if you flood Mudcat with too many notices, people may begin to think of you as "annoying." That's bad for business. If you like, I can set up a PermaThread for you to make announcements. If you make more than two announcements a month, that's what you should do.

You can keep a thread active on the Forum Menu by posting a new message to it. Informative messages are best, but you can simply post a message with "refresh" if you have nothing new to say.

Thank you.

Great idea, and looks like being a fabulous night - but surely no need to have two identical threads for this.
Combine please, Max!
