Saw him many times with Pete Stanley in the good old days..Last time I met him was at the Derrol Adams "65th.Birthday Bash." in Koortrijk in Belgium.. and what a night that was!!

He was a regular booking at the Tree Inn Folk Club in Bude before its demise. The last time I saw him there I spent most of his gig in the nearby casualty department having a foreign object removed from my eye! Very nice nurse though... Speaking of Wizz in Cornwall, there's that great video of him from 1960 being interviewed by Alan Whicker. Easy to find on YouTube (I'm useless at links).

I saw him with Backwoodsman whilst on a holiday from Australia. A wonderful concert and a true icon of the British Folk scene.

I saw him at Topsham a few weeks ago. Yes, as ever, he was great. In the 1960's he was an inspiration to lots of us and to me, he still is. I think I'll go right back to the first album of his I owned - 'Sixteen Tons Of Bluegrass'. Haven't listened to it for, literally, decades!!
