Trad music downloads on Musical Traditions site

Rod Stradling's Musical Traditions label has started making some of their vast catalog of rare recordings available as (criminally inexpensive) downloads.

According to the website, "compared to £12, £16 and £20 for the 300 Series publications, the downloads of single CDs are £2.00, double CDs are £4.00, and 3-CD Sets are £6.00. The facility exists to pay more than these prices, if you'd like to!"

I mentioned to Rod that surely his time and effort, and the music itself, is worth more than a couple of bucks, but he sounds happy with the arrangement and indicated that many purchasers are voluntarily giving more than asking price. I certainly will be.

I've boought several, and always paid more than the minimum price. (Though, in all honesty, not a HUGE amount more!)

Particularly enjoying Around the Hills of Clare. What a great compilation (Irish song, to state the probably obvious)
