What is really cool is that group is independent music. They did it themselves and it took off. There is hope for independent song writers

There is a lesson, we are all folkies and blues writers but if we really want to sell one of our songs to pursue our real interest. We have to listen to what works in todays market

I'd have happily got half naked on stage even 10 years ago...

[used to do it in my early 20s - well it was hot in summer,
we were that kind of attitude rock band, and girls / some boys in the audience seemed to like it..]

but not any more.. postman delivered my brand new XL+ size belt this morning...😬

We don't all age as discracefully as Iggy Pop... 😜

I agree, olddude, that there are people here that could have written that song....and probably better. Thing is with music media, it is image, hype and the luck of the draw , I suspect. Still, it would be nice to see one of us unknown oldies being noticed and notching up that many hits on you tube.

Not my cuppa, but good luck to them. Wally de Backer has been making music for 15 years though, with at least six albums to his name - this is someone who knows the music industry inside out and has been working at what he does for a long time, so he's not exactly some sort of overnight indie success story.

Nearly naked Mudcatters sounds like an interesting if slightly scary concept, though..
