Tune Req: Tunes by Altan

Subject: Tunes by Altan - Other Names ?

I've been trying to find the music to a set of reels played by Altan, on the CD cover they are listed as Paddy's Trip To Scotland, Dinkies, and The Shetland Fiddler. None of the books I have contain these tunes and I was wondering if they are also known by other names. If anyone can help me with finding the music or alternative names I will be grateful.

I can tell you where the music is for Dinkies. It is in a book of Irish session tunes by Karen Tweed, called Karen Tweeds Irish Choice, that is a Dave Mallinson Publication, Check out her web site

hi. have been messing around on this site and found your enquirey. the 3 altan reels are all to be found in the excellant book HO-RO GHEALLAIDH vol 2 for scottish fiddlers by Christine martin and Anne Hughes. published by Taigh na Teud ( Hamsting House) good luck and let us know how you went
